THE ISFC Organising Committee

Shane Smith
Shane Smith is the Director of the Canadian Film Centre's Worldwide Short
Film Festival in Toronto. He graduated with a BA in Film Studies and Mass
Communications from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia before hitting the road and ending up in Canada. Shane is the former Programmer for the Inside Out Festival, serves on the Advisory Committee for Moviola- The ShortFilm Channel and the board of the Reel Roundtable, directed the short film Goodbye To Love and writes film reviews for the Canadian publications Xtra! and Cinema Scope. Additionally, he has served on the jury of Festivals in Iran, Sydney and Toronto, and curated programs of short films for Festivals in Canada, Brazil, Bangladesh, Sydney and Mexico.

Kirsi Kinnunen
I used to work for the Tampere International Short Film Festival, Finland, in 1983-2000. After that I changed my life and moved to France and started to work as a freelance festival collaborator, short and documentary film programmer/curator/promoter/advisor/writer, translator (comics, books, sometimes films) etc. I have served in the jury of festivals in France, Monaco, Canada, Germany etc. and have been in charge for curating program of short and documentary films for festivals in Algeria, Belgium, France, Brazil, Iran, Mexico etc. I represent the Finnish film festivals in the board of directors of the European Coordination of Film Festivals. I was the Secretary General of the ISFC in 1994-1998 and member of the board of directors in 1994-2001.

Bronwyn Kidd
Bronwyn has been the festival director of Flickerfest for the past six years. During this time she has curated numerous short film programmes in Australia and internationally as well as managed the Flickerfest short film bureau for sales of international films throughout Australia and New Zealand and international short films throughout the world. She was on the board of the ISFC in 2002.
An independent producer/director for the past ten years, Bronwyn has worked extensively with indigenous communities on projects such as The Australian Museum Indigenous Australians exhibition and “Walking With My Sisters”, a documentary about Indigenous land rights which screened on SBS TV. Her other screen credits include the one hour documentary “Beach Balls” about building of the Olympic beach volleyball stadium in Sydney. In 2002 she produced the short film 'Search' which has been selected for festivals including Creteil in France and Odense in Denmark. Bronwyn is passionate about film and its influence on cultures and the importance of encouraging diversity in screen storytelling in an increasingly globalised world.
